Sicamous was voted the 2017 Sled Town ShowDown Champion of Western Canada! Nestled in the Eagle Valley, Sicamous and area hosts some of the best alpine snowmobiling in North America: deep snow, powder-filled open bowls, endless meadows, tree riding, groomed trails, breathtaking alpine scenery and spectacular lake views.
All four of our alpine areas, Owlhead, Eagle Pass, Blue Lake and Queest, are accessible by forest service roads and offer cosy chalets to warm up in. Whether you’re after a family-friendly groomed trail or more challenging terrain, Sicamous has it all.
Owlhead
Nestled within the boundaries of Kingfisher Provincial Park, the Owlhead shelter is a winter-only motorized destination built in 1997. Owlhead is also used for mountain biking in the summer season.
Eagle Pass
About 15 minutes east of Sicamous, just half a kilometre east of the Skyline Truck Stop.
Blue Lake
A log-frame cabin with a covered deck built by the Micku family and club volunteers in 2000, positioned to bask in the afternoon sun.
Queest
The trailhead is a five-minute drive from downtown Sicamous. The club built its first chalet on Queest Mountain in 1976, rebuilt in 1994.
Eagle Valley Snowmobile Club
Trails are maintained by the Eagle Valley Snowmobile Club (Sled Sicamous), one of the largest organised snowmobile clubs in BC with over 400 active members. An annual trail pass covers all four riding areas. The club’s biggest fundraiser of the year is the Dinner & Auction; see the organiser’s event listing for the next date.
Download the snowmobile trail guide and check current conditions at Sled Sicamous, and always check avalanche conditions before you go at Avalanche Canada.
